Burning Man Pictures taken during Sandstorm
When attending Burning Man in 2014, I took the opportunity to wander around “la playa” – what the mid-center festival area in the desert is called – during a sandstorm with the intention to capture surreal moments. The sandstorm limited the distance of vision, similar to what mist does, resulting in a white-transparent gradient according to distance. As a result, I captured studio-like images on location, that appear as if they were shot in front of a plain white backdrop in a photo studio or on set at big productions.
